Sahil Welfare Trust (SWT) is a philanthropic organization working for the prosperous future of
deprived ones particularly for the communities residing in Coastal Areas of Sindh i.e Thatta,
Sujawal and Badin.
SWT initiated its services in 1995. Since its inception SWT performed countless activities like
subsidized medical care, free medical camps, seminars, provision of formal and technical
education, co-venture with disaster management institutions, skill development centers,
women empowerment programs, microfinancing for farmers and fishermen and many more.
Thousands of families have been the beneficiaries directly or indirectly over the period of these
twenty six (26) years.
We have now very organized structure of our organization comprises of Doctors, Engineers,
Paramedical Staff, teachers and volunteers in each and every union council of the
abovementioned districts.
SWT along with its donors feels satisfied regarding performance over the years and still
committed to make it even better.
On behalf of all my team mates I welcome you on the official website of Sahil Welfare Trust. As
mentioned in the introduction it’s a long journey of twenty six (26) years when I laid the stone
of SWT and it still continues.
The question is what convinced me, motivated me, directed me and pushed me to be a
philanthropist. There were two driving forces which made this all happen; one was the
deprivation of my own loved ones of basic necessities and the 2nd and the major one was my
Father Mr. Sardar Muhammad Shakir (Late) who being a teacher was very empathetic. His
empathetic indoctrination gave me a vision to pay back the society. I built a welfare hospital on
his name as well naming, Shakir Welfare Medical Centre in Gharo District Thatta.
God also helped me, kept me resilient and steadfast in this noble cause. Further I was awarded
with a team with even greater spirit and our combined efforts bring ease, prosperity,
education, financial independence in the lives of thousands of people. By the grace of God we
are expanding our reach from land to the islands in the midst of the sea.
I along with my team humbly invite you to join us and strengthen our hands by any of the skills,
competence or assets you have. Join this noble cause and we will share the purest prayers of
thousands of people with you.
